Launched in 2025, the ABZORB 2000 marked a change of direction for New Balance. Instead of leaning on heritage, it embraces a modern, tech-forward design shaped by the chunky aesthetic of the early 2000s. The idea is simple: take a signature feature of that era's running shoes, visible cushioning, and make it the centrepiece of an all-new style. The ABZORB 2000S "Black / Magnet" delivers that formula in a dark palette that brings out every contour.

Everything starts underfoot. The sole pairs full-length ABZORB cushioning with ABZORB SBS pods, a combination built to soak up impact stride after stride, from the heel right through to the toe. That sculpted unit is also the shoe's visual anchor. Up top, layered mesh and synthetic panels add structure and texture, finished here in black and Magnet grey for a graphic, cohesive look that feels both retro and completely current.
