On Running: the Swiss brand built for runners

On Running was founded in Zurich in 2010 by former triathlete Olivier Bernhard alongside David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti. The idea was a sole made of hollow pods that cushion the landing, then close up to give a firm push-off. That CloudTec technology turned the Swiss brand into one of the big names in running within a few years, and On running shoes are now a familiar sight on trails, at marathon start lines and on city streets across Europe.

Cloudmonster, Cloudsurfer, Cloudboom: the On edit

This On Running for Running collection brings together the models designed for actual running. You will find the Cloudmonster and its Cloudmonster 2, 3 and Void versions, the Cloudsurfer in Next, Max and 2 editions, the race-ready Cloudboom Max, plus the Cloud 6 Waterproof and the Cloudflow. Neutral colourways such as Ivory, Pearl, Glacier and Black sit alongside brighter shades like Limelight, Grenadine and Peony, in men's and women's versions depending on the model.

CloudTec cushioning and On Running shoe sizing

Every On model has a job: the Cloudmonster goes big on cushioning and a rolling ride, the Cloudsurfer focuses on soft landings, and the Cloudboom Max is built for race pace. On running shoes generally fit true to size, so stick to your usual size and allow for your running socks. W versions are cut on a women's last.
