Founded in 1825 in the village of Street, Somerset, by brothers Cyrus and James Clark, Clarks is one of the oldest shoemakers in the world. In 1950, Nathan Clark unveiled the Desert Boot, inspired by boots worn by British soldiers, and in 1967 the brand launched the Wallabee with its moccasin construction and crepe sole. These styles have crossed decades and subcultures, from mod to hip-hop, and remain highly sought after across Europe.
